People are talking about some creative parenting that led to a good night’s rest for a mom and dad.
They got to sleep in until 10:06 a.m., according to Reddit.
That’s six minutes longer than they requested. Those kids showed some discipline!
The letter simply stated, “Mom and dad are sleeping in this morning. Do not knock and wake us up before 10 a.m. unless there is a real emergency.”
The letter proactively outlined the answers to all of the inevitable questions that come up in the morning:
Yes, you can have cereal for breakfast.
Yes, you can watch TV/play Wii.
No, you may not go to your friends’ house.
No, you cannot have a baggie of snacks.
This preemptive warning was given to the daughter: Don’t antagonize your brother!
And the son was warned: Don’t be a whiner, at least not a loud one.
The letter ended with a big “We love you! See you no earlier than 10!”
